His yard is probably only 10 yards long.

Certainly the way I read it.. his yardage is limited to 10 yards for now... I have several students that practice in the garage and a couple who shoot down the hall of their house... You shoot where you can..when you can... that's how you get good.

Exactly I'm shooting in my garage. My fence is being redone and I don't want to freak anyone out that is driving by

first thing I would suggest is check your local laws, you might be breaking the law by shooting within city limits and it only takes one anti hunter or nervous neighbor to get you in trouble,
Now onto more challenging targets, google rifle targets, I found one several years ago that had 12 or 15 small targets on one page, rabbits, crows and something else. The targets are for rifle practice but work great for 10-20 yard practice. Really makes you focus on hitting a small area. Remember aim small miss small and good luck

Put a cmu (concrete block) in front of the target and shoot through the middle. It will test your nerves.

Just keep shooting the ten yards however you want. You are building your strength from repetition and being able to draw your bow comfortably with a live target in front of you is critical.

Keep on going, it's repetition over and over again, so you don't have to think about it when you draw on a live target and you are all excited, then it just comes natural.
