Went to battery plus the guy gave me a ton of info. but left me with the statement, "you'll have to go through a series of batteries with different amps to figure out the right combination for your game cam."

So I have a Wildgame Cam S2. If you have this same cam and have converted it to run off of Solar Power/Rechargeable 6V battery what are you using and are happy with. I don't wanna go through the various test to find the right combo.

Easy way would be to connect the battery to the camera and run a quick test on it. Place the camera and battery in the fridge to ensure the cold does not drawn the battery. In other words you need to ensure that you have enough current to keep the camera working.

I've wired my Reconyx, normally a 9V camera to run off of a 6 volt system. I just wired two batteries in parallel, with a solar panel on each. I tested it outdoors over the holidays. On the coldest morning the battery condition indicator measured 38%. No more buying batteries for me.

I used a 6volt rechargeable battery and solar panel and made external box. The camera has taken 1000's pictures and battery is still full charge. Go to chasingame.com shows you how to hookup external power.
