Finally got my Leddy Boots ! ! !

After deciding on all the details several months ago, I finally got the call last week that my boots were ready. Took a road trip back to San Angelo to M.L. Leddy's to get them and must say I am very pleased with the results. You just can't beat the custom hand-made in Texas quality. I went with french toe full quill ostrich with kangaroo rough out tops and the original Leddy stitch pattern.

Very nice....I'm sure they were a pretty penny too.

Yes, it did help to know a few of the right people, but they were still the most expensive thing I've ever had on my feet. The good thing about the several month wait for them to be complete is that it gives you time to put back some money each month for the final payment. Doesn't sting as bad that way.

I recognize that stitch pattern! My first pair of Leddy boots (1963) cost me $45 and I hated to pay that much for a pair of boots, but I did. They were made by Jim Franklin, a legend. I'd love to have a pair now! Thanks for showing.

Man those are nice boots!!! Would like some hand made boots like that. Well, I guess my Anderson Bean are hand made but not custom to my feet like those!

Leddy's had a small shop set up the Houston Rodeo last year and they had a pair of black gator boots (gator lowers and uppers). I turned them over to discover a $10,000 price tag.

Yes, they only go to a couple of events each year, and the Houston Rodeo is one of the main shows. i definitely could not justify buying any gator, I would be afraid to wear them. I think i'll stick with ostrich, elephant, and rawhide for now. I can get a couple pair of each of those for the price of one gator.

                              Congrats!

Had mine on yesterday! (black full quill ostrich)

I think I have had mine 15 years.

Mine were a gift, so I escaped the hard part!
