Why let them age?? See this PERFECT example!! Huge Mexico Deer!!

Last year I posted a video of a beautiful young 9 pt. Most of the comments were "why isn't he dead?" I had a feeling he was only a 4.5 yr old deer. Well guess what - look at him now!!

Here is the 2009 Thread --- see video!!

I would have had a hard time passing on him in 2009, but you are right, he's turned into one heck of deer because you have more patience than I do! What are you're plans for him now? Wait another year?

WOW. can you imagine what he is going to look like next year? Especially if we have another wet year.

Interested to see what he scores.

Great advice and what a hoss of a deer! There are a lot of different management styles based on whether you lease a property vs. owning the property you hunt on as well as who you hunt with, what type of traffic goes throught and around the place, etc. You have to consider these types of scenarios when you get advice or comments from various people just looking at a photo of a beautiful deer. If you have the option, there is no doubt I would let them grow until 5.5 or 6.5 depending on the peak in your area. Please keep us updated on this deer; I can't wait to see the LDP!!
