Another gun question .280 Ackley

Been tossing around idea of getting a custom built , just not sure what to get. I already have a 300 win. mag, and 7 mm STW. Was thinking about a good alternative to a magnum and was considering the .280 Ackley. I have a couple .270's don't need another. Whats ya'lls thoughts or opinions on the .280??

no brainer to me .... same bullets , less recoil, same performance

Pretty much the same info I got from the gunsmith I use. I'm about 99 % sure thats what I want. It really seems to be the best alternative to a magnum. I just like to get as much good input as I can. After reading several of the posts lately about guns , there seems to be a lot of knowledge on here. Thanks for the input from all.

I always tell my 7mag buddies that a regular .280 is very close to the same performance with less powder and recoil. If you want a really accurate custom rifle, research the 6mm PPC.

Wanna sell that 6.5? Yes i love the 6.5 wish i didnt sell it. The 280 AI is a sweet round.GO FOR IT?

I know a few guys that swear by it. The nice thing is that you can shoot factory 280 (7mm express) out of it if your in a bind.
