u ever get that since u land owner wants u gone. this year the day before rifle season our land owner swapped patures with goats. he put out about 500 foul things in main hunting pasture and when asked just said that is where the grass is. a couple of weeks ago he called lease manager bitching that a lot of trash was left out. i say ok and drive 4 hours and find one water bottle. i saw land owner and he said the one bottle was the complaint. he bumped our price up $200 from 2 years ago and even went so far as to say people next to us wanted our lease. im not mistress cleo. but i see the writing on the wall. what says u?

As far as moving the goats, he can do what he wants. He's the landowner, and unless yall have some agreement as to where the goats can go then you're in the wrong on that one. I move my cows when and where I need to. Hunters are secondary to my actual business concerns. Cows and goats need graze, and ranchers worry about them first and deer and hunters second.
The water bottle seems blown out of proportion. But, he could just be looking for an excuse. Be upfront and ask if he wants you off or if he's trying to squeeze you for more money. Sounds like you just need to leave, because you aren't happy with him and he ain't happy with you.

We were really lucky with our owner/rancher on a place we had for close to 30 years. He really did everything he could to not bother our hunting. He would come in to feed around 11 visit to see how things were going and be gone by 1pm while we were there hunting. We helped keep the place up with repairs and picking up trash. Most the trash was feed sacks blowing out of his truck and his empty cigarette packs he threw out the window. We would pitch in to have a maintainer come in to fix roads and bridges on the place. Fix any down fences we found and let him know in case he was missing any cattle. He was killed in an auto accident and the family had to sale the place. But we found out from his family he had been approached several times by people offering him more money for the lease. He would always tell them no and that he was happy with his hunters. We had an excellent relationship and were able to treat the place as we would are own.If we saw something that needed attention we just took care of it.What was really neat with having a group of guys together this long was being able to see three generations of hunters able to hunt together.Pretty cool seeing an original member able to hunt with his grandson on the same piece of property.A lot of good memories.

been there.......in my experience it always comes down to price.....he is sitting at the local coffee shop and hearing his neighbors talking about how much they are getting and he does not know any other way to get more cash out of you......look for a lease now and leave the day he comes up with at stupid price for what you get.
