My review: Wild Game Innovations 4mp trail cam

    In a word.... SUCKS!

Granted I put it out on a cold week but seriously?? It took 8 pictures, yes EIGHT, and the brand new Duracell batteries were dead. And on top of that it took one pic of a deer that was about 5' off to the side of the feeder and you could barely see it cause the flash has NO width to it! If it's not straight infront of the cam forget about it.
I'll be taking mine back to academy tomorrow!!

Defintitley not one of the higher end trail cams. It is hard to reccomend trail cams to people these days, but the ones I have had good luck with this fall are the Moultrie D-55s. They have great battery life, a decent flash range, take decent pics, and are around $99.

A buddy of mine picked up one ar Academy recently for $50 on clearance.

I am sure there is someone out here that will say those suck too.

My IR4 ran 46 days and took 700 pictures on one set of batteries. Send it back and they will swap it out free of charge.

Primos 35 is a good cam for the $. Exchange it.

700 pics on a set of batteries is terrible. It should be in the neighborhood of 4-5k.

get a camera that will run off a 6 volt battery with solar charge capability as well.

Batteries replacement is the downside to most cameras and the biggest cost.

I'll stick with my moultrie D55. I can get around 2000 pics on a set of batteries and that's with flash. Good clear pics too.

I had 4 of them at the end of June last year. I put them up carefully in my closet where they stayed 4 months untouched. I take them out so that I can set them up at friend's place, and all of them had broken parts on the inside. And, all 4 of them would either not take pictures at all, or would only take pictures during the day. When they were working, they were great, I had no problems with battery life or quality of pics. But, all they did was sit in my closet and they fell apart.

The batteries were still good, but it only had 700 pictures after it sat out for that period of time.

agree, I used a Primos 35 infared for $99 bucks at academy this year to replace one of my moultries, it worked great.

I own 4 of them. The IR, don't have to worry about flash and have only had a problem with one of them. Sent it back (which is here in Grand Prairie by the way) and they sent me a brand new one, no questions asked. I get tons of pictures and long battery life. I guess every experience is different. Search on here for any game cam and you'll find someone with a bad experience with them. Sorry you had a bad one, but I'm sticking with mine. The reason I have 4 of them is because I can afford to have 4 of them at their price. If I owned a Cuddyback I'd have one. Not to mention, I have no complaints with my cameras. Still love em.

I have 2 of the WGI IR4. Haven't had any problems yet. I've been getting about 3000 pics on a set of batteries. Only complaint I have is the range of the IR flash is not that great, but still takes good night time pics when close.

I bought a Primos's Truth 35 a couple days ago to put on another spot to see hogs. Hope it works as well if not better at night.
