    Hunting Javelina in Texas

My son and I are trying to plan a Javelina Hunt, but we have never hunted them in Texas. We will be driving from Colorado, so how far south into Tx should I be planning to go to find good numbers of Javelina. I would rather drive a little further to find good numbers than to go 10 hrs to find only a few animals. Any recommendations on ranches or outfitters to contact would also be appreciatted.

    Thanks Curtis

Curtis, I have a couple of great ranches near Laredo, TX that are covered with javelina but the rancher requires a group of 10 or more to book a hunt there. If you have just a couple or a small group, you might contact Jerry G with Pedernales Bowhunting. He's a site sponsor here and will treat you right.

        Curtis -

Send me an email - jneff71@aol.com.... I hunt a ranch in South Texas that is loaded with them as well as hogs, no minimum # of hunters and a real nice owner. I'll give you the info.
