                        I have one just about like this. You might have a problem with the belt slipping when the meat gets in a bind if there is even the slightest amount of silver skin left. I built an individual base platform about 6" tall for each device and then mounted that to a single peice of plywood. When I turn on the machine, the worm gear turns, but in order for me to actually put meat through it I have a wooden wedge I put between the individual bases to create a bind. If meat bogs it down, I just put more pressure on the wooden wedge.

                        Just make sure you don't put any pressure on the cast iron because it can break at the mount locations.

                        Mine is at the ranch ready for sausage making next weekend. I'll post pics afterwards.
