Kid Fishing on Conroe

Where is a good place to with shoreline access to take a kid fishing on lake Conroe?

My 3 year old son wants to go fishing so i need some place relatively easey to get to that will be safe for him yet provide him enough action to keep him interested.

Stubblefield Lake in the SHNF (out of New Waverly) is pretty good. there's a small lake with day fees for parking/camping or you can drive past the campground to the fishing bridge. the little channel that connects the lake to the old river is usually full of sunfish/bream. White bass and catfish too at the right times.

You can try stowaway marina.It is on the North end of the lake and they have bank fishing with a good atmosfere.Note:I would wait awhile toward spring because right now the water is in the 50 degree range and the fishing might be a little slow as far as bank fishing goes as most fish have not pulled in yet.
