from what others have told me about the online dealio, it does have little scripts that make sure you are paying attention...as for breaking it up in bits, I am not exactly sure but I bet there are some out there that have that....just have to ask yourself, how much time are you willing to invest tracking something like that down....around here, Austin, they tend to make it just a tad less painful on the pocket book to take a dd class, but man, if you are not first in line at the popo station to tell them you want to take the class, pay them there bs paperwork fee, you will spend an hour standing there, then, then you are ready to go take the class...pay to take the class, spend the time taking the class, then have to go back to the popo house to show them you took the class....if it were not a government run enterprise, I would say they make it as difficult as possible....but then again...it is a government run enterprise and that is how they do everything....they just don't know any better....lol

as far as i know all i told the court house was that i was going to do a dd course. they said i have until x date to get the papers back and i could do anything as long as it was TEA approved or something.
i guess i just need to call the online class people and ask them if i can break it up into hour or 2 long sessions over the course of a week.

I started one earlier today on www.moescomendytrafficschool.com Hasn't been funny yet. Cost three dollars more then the other ones listed on my list too.
It will take at least 6 hours to finish.
It makes you take four 15 min breaks if your just going to run through it.
It breaks it down into ten sections plus the exam.
You get 3 times to pass the exam.
I figure I'd end up in front of the computer for that long anyways, and I've already done four sections and didn't seem like it took that long. I've set through the class twice and this will be my second time taking the online. I wouldn't do it any other way but online now. Granted you don't get the extra perks as you do in class. Free meals and what not. But at least I can do it when I wont to and take as long as I want on it.

redneck morton- which online course did you do the first time?
im thinking about www.idrivesafely.com. they sent me a thing in the mail with a coupon code, the class is only $25 now. it advertises short easy lessons and doing it completely at my own pace.

It was over two years ago that I last did it some I don't recall. But when I went to the court they gave me a print out of places that I could do the class at, which included where I could rent the videos and also a few different websites that I could take it. Reading around $25 is the lowest that the state will allow to charge. the one I did was $28 and I was thinking that it was going to read it to me. Boy was I wrong. Now I wish I would have saved the $3 and did it else where.

if i go to a class somewhere, do they hand out tests periodically to make sure were awake or something? i just dont really see how they test you during the comedy gig. if i take an online class, i can google questions while taking the tests i guess.

Its not hard. Just a lot of reading I guess. No more reading then sitting here scrolling through the green screen.
The two classes I went to was just long drawn out, with a couple of breaks and break for lunch. Don't remember any quizzes during the class though.
The online does throw some lesson quizzes in at the end of each lesson and will ask you questions about yourself just to make sure it is you sitting there and not someone just clicking through it. It'll also ask a question about some of the videos to make sure you payed attention.
And I just wish I would have saved the $3 and only payed the $25 fee for one of the other online classes and got the same material. I just figured the comedy one would have some funny stuff in it, and also thought that I read some where on their main page that it read the lesson to you.
