    Camp trash rules?

What are your normal rules for trash at camp? Are you required to take when you leave the property so varmints dont get into it?

I had an empty barrel by my camper. Last trip I found a sack with trash food and bottles in it from other guys in camp. Am I wrong for thinking they should take there own trash when they leave or get their own barrel by their camper? Is it that hard to do!

Not only could varmints tear it up and make a mess in camp, but then the owner would think it was me since the barrel was by my camper.

Yes they should take it with them when they leave. Maybe it was a kid that threw it in there and no one else knew about it.

I would say most will take their trash with them.

At worst they at least put it in a trash can.

We haul trash based on who has room but we can accumulate a ton of trash in a weekend. We also do not burn very much trash so we have more to haul away.

Yea, I say give ole Thorthunder a call. He is the official TBH Sanitary engineer!

I hate it when someone puts cans in a fire, just gets under my skin. Guess I am ****!

We are fortunate in that we just bag ours and the vaquero hauls it off for us.

All trash leaves when we leave....no trash is to be left blowing around camp as well.

I have been trying to instill no trash being burned in the fire for two years now but I still find the occasional cans and other half burned items left in the ring..... Kids will be kids

It would be nice to be able to burn down the coals in the big ring and shovel into the cooking pits but I won't with that crap being burned in there.

No one has kids so it wasnt that. This just sort of seemed like a common sense thing to do, to take trash when you leave. I just didnt think I would have to add it into the rules. There are other things they did that just weren't right or safe. They just keep making the list of rules get longer and longer, when it shouldn't be that way.

We always spend some time policing the camp for trash before we leave. Anybody who has room might take it, but on our lease the last guy out of camp has the ultimate responsibilty to make sure nothing is left behind. I'll bet if you asked landowners, one of their biggest gripes about leasing is hunters who leave trash laying around.

We take ours every time we go. Already have enough coons, possums, coyotes, and rats at camp and don't need help attracting more. We also drive through the pasture several times a year and pick up anything we might see-just so there's no way the landowner can blame it on us. We have a stinkin farmer who leases crop rights, and likes to throw beer cans all over the place.
