I don't feel sorry for folks who handle their business in an unethical manner. It has been proven that he is of that ilk. I am more worried about the example that he sets for his children (if he has any) than I am about how much money he can make from his taxidermy business.

Or to look at it in a different manner, what about the guy that does great taxidermy work? His kids will suffer from the lost income going to the guy who "poaches" other artists work.

If he would like to address any of the concerns here then I would gladly read his response but at least for now it seems that he is a liar. I don't care if he needs the extra income or not I do not want to do business with a liar. Although the current administration is pushing us that way we are not currently a communist country....just because he "needs" extra money does not mean that he is entitled to it. If he needs more money than just like the rest of us he can work a little harder. I see a big difference in working harder for your money and lying harder for your money....

A good shot at him is fine, but I was referring to the continued bashing. He should have never lied (if he did) and I would not use him if so, but I really don't know the man other than this thread. I am trying hard not to jump to conclusions lately and spout off. A man's mettle is more than another man's perception and I do not have all of the facts. That's all I was getting at.

On an unrelated note you should take a look at Gios Taxidermy in Nacogdoches. He has done 3 stags for me, with one of them being #1 in the world. He has done wall and pedestal mounts and they came out amazing. I have had him to 10 plus shoulder mounts for me in the last 5 years or so and they have ALL been top notch.

Turn around is up to a year, but the work is worth the wait.

I've only used BlackDog taxidermist in Hamilton. Heck, I don't kill them big enough to spend money on. Now in Missouri I know another good guy. Dunno how my name got thrown into this.

For those who pmed me, sorry about the confusion. I'm not who he is complaining about. I don't do taxidermy. I hunt, I fish and I might even lie about the size of a fish. But no taxidermy. I have paid two of them and both did good jobs. I would highly reccommend Black Dog Taxi in Hamilton. 254-386-4686
