Any barcode scanner. all those square ones you see around are fun to scan.
Google sky map. cool in town, you wont have service out in the country where it would really be fun.
if you use google there is "gtasks" syncs your google tasks to your phone. create a list on either and see on both
(if you dont use gmail you really need to it makes this phone sing. android is married to google)
Pandora. internet radio on your phone. stations learn what you like and only play that
PDAnet. you can tether your phone to a laptop and get internet on the laptop free, just have to use a wire
Phone info. lets you turn off the phone antenna but keep blue tooth on. this is SUPER handy for watching movies with blue tooth headphones on a plane or in the deer stand where you dont get service. there is no other way to have blue tooth on with the main radio off. airplane mode turns off ALL radios. (blue tooth is a radio transmitter)
TIKL. push to talk just like nextel phones. you just push the screen instead of a side button.
text messaging i prefer
SMS popup. it replaces the existing service, (you have to turn off the default program)
sms is more user friendly and gives more options.
keyboard i prefer
Smart keyboard pro. over time you will come to hate the default keyboard. more options for looks and key placement. I think its a little more accurate as to where im touching
