How to remove camo dip?

Try some DEET it seems to take the dip off bow handles...

Deet will take the camo finish off shot guns and melt the polish off your toes. I've very careful with my camo guns and my toes

Depending on the pattern you go with you may need to lay a base coat so the pattern will show. Need to make sure all surfaces are very clean

If there is surface rust around the action on the frame........ would light sandpaper work not only to clean up the rust but also give the paint something to stick to?

if it's a shotgun, take the barrel off and ask a local machine shop to bead blast it for a 6 pack of beer

after bead blasting, paint the barrel with a light coat of rustoleum, then paint over with Krylon

yes it is Blake......... but I also need the frame done as well.......... more for prep of the new paint job.

I can't help with bead blasting but I can with a lite sand blast. IMO it will give your paint much more to bite to than just sanding.

remove rear stock by taking off recoil pad and using a wrench

Want to say it is mossy oak on a 24" barrel. Trade barrel would have to the same length.

You talking Mossy Oak Break-Up? Or is there any chance it would be MO Duck Blind?

And are you certain it is a 24" barrel? I have a 26", but would be interested in either a 26" or a 28" one.
