I've shot 3 that I remember with a bow. All were incidental to deer hunting and they just strolled by.

Your idea sounds like a pretty good one. I would be interested to hear if it works. I shot my first bobcat with a bow (my Sarrels longbow) this season but it was pure luck. It happened to walk right in under the treestand i was sitting in. here is a few pics of him:

I shot one years ago but it was just the right place at the right time type of thing.

I shot one with my bow this season, it was passing through just a little out of range so I lip squeaked and it came about 10 yards closer in an opening. Better lucky than good

Here is mine that I got this year. If you sit enough one will come through. Missed a song dog Saturday. Hurt more missing the yote than a deer.

Turkey is a bigger PIA then a bobcat at our place! I have killed one with my bow. I was sitting in a tripod that when I got there I found a yearling was dead by the tank about 30 yards away. I sat there anyway and right at dark it came out to feed on the deer and I drilled him.

I killed one a few years ago with my recurve. He walked up within 12 yds. sat down and looked at me. I've never heard anything sound like that when it was shot before. Growled and ran about 10 yds before expiring. Scared the crap out of me when he growled.

I missed one with a compound a couple of years ago at 40 yds. I thought he was 30 and shot under him.
