Does Human Pee Scare Deer Off?

A lil' off topic, but, what kills me is a couple of guys on my lease hang their clothes outside and spray them with the scent killer spray. I wear my clothes after the hunt and have a cigar with them on. Their blinds and my blind range from 65 yards to over 200 yards away from the feeders. NOTE: I see more deer than they do.

Maybe it does scare them, maybe it doesn't. Maybe pigs, shoats, silly young does and yearling bucks are scared of it, but that big boy who lurks in the thickest parts of the woods didn't get to be that big by overlooking things that are just ever so slightly not like normal. I am willing to hold it.

Also have pics of another scrape that I made and in just one night I had over 6 different bucks work it. Also had about 10 does visit as well!!! All about 25 yds from my bow stand.

It's great that these bucks showed up where you peed, but still, If I don't pee around my stand, my pee won't spook them.
Are you suggesting that these bucks were attracted to your stand because of your pee?

No, not at all. This deer was comin in before I peed, stayed around after I peed, and didn't high tail it to the next county. Just sayin pee is pee!!!

I've got to go against the majority here. I believe it can be a detriment. The solution we use on our lease is to take a plastic bottle to stand with you and use it if needed. Then carry it out and dispose later. Don't have to wonder about whether it does or doesn't spook them then.

Same here, the nalgene bottle I take with me is yellow for a reason!

any other color=good

This deer is in Ks. At this spot, I got hunt it the last 2 days I was there. It was in the last week of Oct. Weather was still warm then and all the deer were only movin at night. I never had the time to get back up there the rest of the year. I told my guy to call me if he got shot so he could let me know what he would score. He never has called, so maybe he's still around for next year.

i pee outta the door of my box stand all the time.......deer and hogs dont care.

i went #2 the other day about 25ft behind my blind and used some papertowels to clean up.......my bil was with me and he heard pigs about sundown behind us, and low and behold about 20 shoats came out, one witha papertowel in his mouth...im dead serious

I freshen every scrape I find.

I doesn't bother them.
All pee turns to ammonia.
Feel free to pee!!!

I think it actually helps them calm down.
I keep my area all pee'd up.
I think it let's em know the area is being used.

This subject makes it on the tread about once a month.
I'm sure you can find them on here somewhere.

I usually carry a pee bottle in my backpack, usually a large one, since I pee more with these blood pressure meds that I started taking a few months ago.
