Anyone Use Troughs instead of Timed Feeders ?

You have to have them covered and about 3 coon traps under them and somebody cleaning out the bird caca n other varmtisis that will get up in the trough, but if you are going to be there enuff get a cow calling siren and blow it everytime you feed the troughs, the deer will get used to being fed in the troughs and come out like cattle if you are feeding enuff feed and have enuff fenced off pen from hogs.

I tried it but the cows laughed at my two strand barbed wire.

I have used em, cost a fortune in feed. Hogs ate well.
I forget how much feed it held but it was a bunch.
Was fun to build but ended up giving it away.
