Verizon just announced it will release an iPhone to support the CDMA. Is the iPhone better than the Android or vice versa? I need an new phone and I am stuck on which to buy. Would like to hear your opinion.

Never used an android phone but I would imagine they are similar to an iPhone.

I studied them all. The I phone is the easy answer. I hate apple so I looked for options. The Android is probably the best out there but more complicated. You can get it to start the laundry **** near. I went with the new Window's phone. Easy and functional with out complication or "apple". Just my Take
Good luck

i love my droid..im on my second. i had the motorola droid and loved and and now i have the samsung fascinate galaxy s that runs on droid operating system. my girlfriend has a iphone 3gs and it has tons of issues..shuts off periodically and random other things. in my opinion the droid is better..has more capabilities to it than the iphone..and most of the apps are free unlike the iphones. also i've never had any luck out of htc or heard of any so i stay away from them..but my cousin has the evo and from what i hear it is great.
but now that verizon has the iphone who knows what it will have..i just dont like at&t at all so i've never liked the iphone. the only apple product i will use is a mac.

I like my droid through AT&T (Captivate) had it about 2 weeks.
yes, there is a learning curve.
lots of my kids at school have Iphones and to tell you the truth, I like my droid better. for me, it's easier to get around on it.
the app selection is pretty good...and getting better all the time. If there is an app that I need, so far I've found one for it. VERY happy with it so far.
only one minor glitch where the batt read super low only hours after charging it. Took the batt out & reset it. Fixed it.

Coming from a Blackberry background I don't like how it syncs outlook type info but I am learning to work with it.
I have no experience with the I-phone but I have a pretty strong allergy to anything that starts with I

Was a blackberry guy for a long time but recently switched to an Evo after debating going the iPhone route. I was very surprised that I ended up liking the Evo more. I am an Apple guy after all (typing on my Macbook Pro as we speak) but I ended up liking the experience with the Evo more. I am also a fan of the open source initiative as well, so that part was a no brainer.
I let my iPhone crazed coworker play with my phone the other day and when he handed it back to me he commented that it was the first phone he has ever seen that he would consider switching to from his.
I don't think you can go wrong with either route you choose. Android phones are nice but the iPhone is pretty darn slick as well.
