No back up bow here, but I do carry in my archery travel box, small home made portable bow press, new string, cables, spare release, spare set of sights, replacement rest and extra stabilizer along with spare Teflon washers, serving tool and string with all the extras for a emergency repair.
Carried a back up bow for many years and never once needed it, so I opted to insure myself by carrying the items I thing would be needed for a repair.
Just my 2 cents.

The draw-back to this, is that once you take the time to fix a major repair and then re-tune and re-sight the bow,( did you bring a target?) you could've grabbd your back-up and been hunting.
Either situation is rare, but it is peace of mind knowing you do have a back-up ready to shoot.
I take my back up every time i go hunting. The one time i didn't have a back up i needed one . I was in colorado for an elk hunt an i opened my case up to do a little shooting before the huntand my bow blew up in my case on the way up. Thank goodness my buddy had a back up i borrowed
I have a couple of backup bows. I was hunting in Bosque county once and turned the lower cam against my pants and the cloth got in between the cam and the string, causing the string to come off. This ended my hunt and when I took it in for repair, I bought another bow while I was there. Hopefully I will never need the backup bow, but I keep one just in case.
Yes I have a back up bow. It's an older bow, but set up just like my "user". I've never needed a backup bow yet, but I like knowing its there and knowing how it shoots if I do need it.
