    Math/calculator/AUTOCAD scaling question???

I do alot of autocad stuff and I wanted to see if anybody knows of a calculator that I can punch in that will do this.

Heres the scenario. I copied some text and other stuff off of drawing2 and pasted into drawing1. The text in drawing1 is 3/32". The text i pasted in is 1 3/16". So i have to scale the text from drawing2 that I copied and pasted down so its the same size as the text thats already in drawing1. I understand how to do this by converting it into decimal but sometimes its a pain. BTW its not only text that i copied but other details that have to get scaled down so i cant just change the text size in the properties. Hope it makes sense.

    So heres the question.
Does anyone know of a calculator that i can type in inches or feet like this?

    3/32" divided by 1 3/16"

And since I am at work but I am asking a autocad question its ok to be on here waiting for a reply. Right?

Can you just use the "match properties' command?

For objects other than text, can you just scale down using the three-point method?

Your scale factor or 3/38", scale the 1 3/16 Text 3/38 and it will make it 3/32. Hope this helps.

Should be the same as using a reference point during scaling. Some people call it 3 point.

I think i misread it. So theres no three-point method in the match properties command. Right?

                        Try this...

Draw two lines right on top of one another...one 3/32 and one 1-3/16 like shown. Draw a verticle line to show you were 3/32 line ends on the the 1-3/16" line.

Select your text, etc that you want scaled. Type "SC" for scale. Click once on the left corner of the lines and hit "R" for reference

Click once on the left corner again and click once again on the end of the 1-3/16" line.

Click once more on the end line of the 3/32"

This should scale your drawing from 1-3/16" to 3/32
                        Hope this helps.

This is the one I use.

But, if you run the calculation, you get 0.078947.
