Hey guys since its the off seasons, Im going to build acouple bow blinds and need some advice on which way to go. There going to be in the coke county area so there's not alot of tall trees. Should I make them elevated? If so how tall? I was thinking about building some 2 man box blinds with a big window to shoot out with a bow, but i haven't seen any box type bow blinds. I was also of thinking about building a stand to put a pop up on. Or is elevation even worth it and just stick with pop ups like I have been? Let's talk feeders now is it worth spending the money on a "big" feeder or should I try and build one out of 55 gallon drum or something? I want something that will hold alot of corn. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

As far as the feeder goes, if you want a big corn feeder that holds a lot of corn, stack two 55 gallon barrels and weld them together. Just make sure the weld job is good and that they don't leak. NP1 is a good caulk to put of the weld after they cool down and before you paint the barrels if you decide to paint them. I have done this and it works great. With a funnel, it should hold around 11 bags of corn. Without a funnel, i'd imagine it would hold at least 12.
