It's a Golden Eye Drake. I'm just now learning all the differnet kinds myself and from what I've gathered it's a pretty good one to get! I guess I'm going to put him up on the wall next to that big deer I DIDN'T get this year.

I'm no duck hunter but I've never seen anything other than mallards and wood ducks.
That's a pretty cool looking duck!

Nice!!! Used to shoot lots of them in New Mexico in the Rio Grande just south of Colorado border. Never seen any this far south. Congrats!

Only thing that could have made that drake any better was if it had some jewelry on it. Golden eyes are beautiful birds. Congrats. The 100-150$ for the bird mount will be well worth it!

That almost looks like a Barrow's Goldeneye. If so, that makes it even nicer. Great bird.

WOW!!!!Congrats. I had the chance to see one shot several years ago but it wasnt near as nice as that one.
