I grew up between Desdemona and De Leon and have hunted all over that area. I dont know the lady you mentioned but we used to have a place on CR 196, less than a mile from where you are talking about. There are some decent deer in places but I never saw any monsters on our place but it was never a primary hunting spot. I know there have been some good deer shot around indian mountain and the bigger ranches due west, so it just depends on the place. There is a lot of hunting pressure in the area. Just my 2 cents for what its worth.
