Wow. I'd say just be his friend as best you can for now. If God intends a family reunion, then it'll happen when the time is right. One thing I know is that God's timing often seems slow to me, but when He works things out in His time it ends up being the right time.

Such an amazing story
I used to do a trip with our youth group once a month to feed and talk to the homeless. Ever since then I try and make a point to talk to them.
If you change this guys life you will feel amazing.

Quite a story JT. Not sure that I have any advice that would help. You are dealing with someone that evidently doesn't think rationally so his response may be the same as it was the last time. Granted you were put in his life for a reason and all I can say is pray for God to guide you in your words and actions in dealing with Jerome. My prayers are with you, Jerome and his family!
