    Polaris Ranger Crew

I think I have found the perfect rig. Seating for 4-6, 2k towing 1k carrying capacity, and best of all rear independent suspension. 700 cc so it should have plenty of power. Has anyone got any prices on one of these rigs yet. I just price one for $11,200. They said they should arrive sometime in October. Thinking seriously about putting some money down to reserve one of them. Any of you guys have any comments or better pricing!!!

If you are going to fork out that kind of cash for transportation, you can also afford to take a $4125.00 spot on my Mexico ranch!

        Love the Mexico bandit

That's a nice looking rig. I'm wanting to get an atv of some sort, and with three daughters and a wife, I'm afraid I'm going to have to get a crew. I'm curious about prices, as well.

In both pictures I've seen so far, the wheel base looks extremely long. I wish Yamaha would get with it and come out with a four seater. Since it looks like they haven't I think we're about to trade our Rhino in for a four seater Mule.

Anyone have any experience with a diesel Mule?

I know someone who has a 4 seater mule and loves it. He researched all the options a couple of years ago and bought it. That Polaris does look long!

Part of that may be the wide angle (near fish eye!) lens they used to take the photo.

It is about 12 feet long per the website. I have been considering the 2 seater Kawasaki Mule, but two downfalls: 1. with both seats working there is very little space in the cargo area with a reduced cargo load. 2. Straight axle rear end which means a much rougher ride.

These two reasons alone have just about sold me on the Polaris. Plus after first hand experience using Delriowil's ranger, well its just plain awesome!

Mexico Bandit, if I didn't have to mess with the folks on the other side of the border, I'd be hunting with you guys......

                        Just checked out their website....

Yes, the new Ranger is 12' long. The wheel base is 108" which is 33" longer than the Rhino and 23" longer than the Mule. It's turning radius is also 18' compared to both the Mule and Rhino at 12 something. It does have better ground clearance though, which will help a lot, but the Mule can be lifted pretty cheap.

Michael, my thoughts exactly. A family rig! There always seem to be at least two adults and a couple "little monkeys" hanging off of the side.

i agree with you ben. that thing looks as long as a limo. might be better off putting a bus seat that you could put in and out over the cargo area

I have the mule Trans in Gas and love it... I do like what Ranger has to offer but at 12' long and 18' turning radius would be fun getting in some tight spots.

Ben I drove a diesel mule and it is noticable louder than the gas model they have more torque than the gas. I lifted my mule 2" for under $100 doing the work myself. With it in 4 seat mode I have still put 800# of corn in the bed. If that price holds true the 4 seater mule is still approx right at $3k cheaper than the Ranger.

Critter I bought a rear bench for my mule yesterday came off of a Brister utv and is actually designed to mount on the tailgate. Will add 2 legs so it will sit upin the bed and the mule will haul 8 comfortably... ;-)
