i hate thieves!!

Yesterday morning i received a phone call from my bank concerning some unusual purchases on my debit card. Apparently some low life had stolen my card number.. They didn't spend a bunch of money before the bank caught on (about $30), but they did attempt to access my credit report. So i spent a couple of hours canceling cards and had to put an alert on my credit report. Wish i could get my hands on this jerk!!

sadly any time you give ANYONE your debit card to pay for something you run a good risk of someone writing the numbers down and tryin to use it. It sucks and is very hard to prove sometimes, my fiancées mom had some stolen out of a hotel in dallas and someone bought 1000's of dollars of stuff from different stores before it was caught. Still have not found the people and its been 2 years.

My dad's wallet was stolen from the console of his truck while he was at the gym. Unfortunately he had several gift cards along with all his credit/debit cards, and cash. They were caught on camera at Dillards, but their cameras are lousy and don't give a clear enough picture to distinguish them.

This happened on the 26th

That bites. Happened to me a few years ago they got my card number and tried to buy a 400 $ dress in Idaho. my card company denied the purchase and contacted me. That's why I don't like to use cards. They are out there just waiting to rip us off.

I hate it for you man!! Those types of theives are the worst!! At least they caught it before it really cost you. Hopefully it will be no more than an inconvenience to you.

it really ****** me off that they tried to get my credit report.. thinking about looking into lifelock. anybody used them?

Had it happen to me used the card to get gas at a Race trac . Lucky for me my wife checks all bank activity daily and there was no way I could make 3 purchases within an hour of each other me buying gas , purchase stuff at home depot in austin ,and x-rated vides in L.A. . wiped out my bank account but B.O.A returned all my funds and fees that I lost . Hard to catch these kind of thieves and a ton off work to correct all the problems dealing with it.
