    Well, after 17+ years.....

I think I'm finally gonna buy a new (to me) truck. I bought Ol' Blue (1990 model Chevy half ton) in July of 1993 and she has over 400K miles on 'er now with the original engine. Still my daily driver. I'm looking at an '07 and '08 Silverado with a 5.3L V8. Any issues with either year model that you know of?

I could also use ideas on what to do with Ol' Blue since I won't get anything on trade. Charity donation? Scrap metal? FFA project?

I had an 07 and an 08. No issues with either one.

Just sell the other for whatever you can get to a local hs kid.

      Thanks Jeff.

I thought about donating Ol Blue to a TBH son or daughter that might not otherwise have a vehicle. She still runs pretty good but could use some work (especially paint).

      Any interest?

Dennis, I have a 2008 GMC Sierra...same as the Silverado. I really like mine and have had no issues. Great truck.

Wow...that's great mileage from a gasser...

I bought a 1989 black Chevy Cheyenne new as my first new vehicle and I couldn't imagine the condition that truck would be in right now

shoot you could keep it if nothing is wrong. The tags and taxes and liability insurance wouldnt cost much. You could use it for hauling, etc. and keep the new truck clean.

I did that the end of Jan. 1995 F150 with 351,000 and trade it in on a 2007 1500HD 4X4 with the 6.0. And you never know they gave me 1,500.00

I would bet someones son/daughter would happily work off the truck in chores. Don't give it away, they need to understand the value of earning it.

One of my employees has a 2004 that has over 500k. He finally had to have the motor replaced, but the old one never smoked a lick.
