If you are boarding a Royal Carribean ship you are in for a big time. I don't know about the other lines. Have fun!

You will enjoy Cozumel and Grand Caymen. When yall get to Jamaica, my suggestion is to stay on the boat! Nothin but a dirty flea market.

Hope yall have a great time!

I agree 100%...Jamaica was nothing like I expected. I think Jamaica would be ok if you went to an all-inclusive resort and never left. They make it a point to take you through all the vendors when you leave the ship and they will physically put their hand on you and pull you into their shops. The other destinations are great.

In Cozumel take a taxi to Paradise Beach or look up the Cozumel Bar Hop tour ran by a friend of mine named Tom. You can google up the Cozumel bar hop tour or he can be found on Facebook. Not available through the cruise line.

In Grand Cayman do the sting ray city, cheaper if you go with Captain Marvin outfitter, just across the street from the port market area.

In Jamaica we never stay on the boat, even if you just take a taxi to Margaritaville there is so much culture to see. Ask the taxi driver to stop by the oldest church on the island. A very real treat. There is lots to see there, you just have to be willing to overlook the pushy sales of legal and not legal wares.

Must be on the Carnival Conquest, we sailed that trip about 6 weeks ago. Cruising is the best vacation value. We have been on 20 cruises over the past 20 years.

We just got back from a 5 day Carnival cruise over Thanksgiving. In Cozumel we went to Paradise beach and had a good time. My son snuck some shrimp off the buffet line and caught about 20 fish using a hand line he brought from home.

I respectfully disagree about the value of a cruise. 5 days was about $4,500 for 5 of us and we just had basic ocean view rooms. Frankly the food and entertainment were well below average. I could fly all of us to a 4 star resort and have a heck of a time for less than $900/day.
