    Crossbow accuracy

I read so many posts where the writer states the accuracy of his shooting. 1 inch at 60 yards, 1/2 at 40 etc.I believe that accuracy is what you want to believe it is, and most people really don't care. I do have to relate my shooting accuracy. I have a clear area 100 yards from my bench rest. I place cracked corn in this area and wait for the field mice to come out. I first used broadheads, but switched to field points, because with a gust of wind I was shooting their little legs and tails off. Now with points, I get heart shots 9 out of 10 times.Have to go and spread a little bull; I mean corn. Cheers

Thats pretty funny right there! But

Has anyone used a store bought bench rest to sight in a crossbow? If do which one?

My brother shoots a ravin, he kills deer out to 75-80 yards with it. I’m not a crossbow guy but I have shot it- it’s pretty impressive. It’s nothing like shooting a compound! Lol

It's unethical to gut shoot mice and just let them run off...

It’s not a whole lot different than shooting them from helicopters.….

I regularly ring steel at 950 with my blowhard tube. Not really that hard.

My Scorpyd Deathstalker at 60 and 80 yards. I flinched a bit at 80.

I’ve only shot my Ravin R10 out to 40 yards so far, hopefully i’ll find out this summer.

Quality crossbows can be crazy accurate out to distances most vertical guys aren’t comfortable shooting.

I hunted with a Xbow this year because I had too.. One that is advertised to shoot 360-380 FPS.. I was not overly impressed. Heavy and dangerous is what I felt when handling it. There is just something about it being locked at full draw that made me nervous.. Deer react to them being fired BIG TIME.. IMO honest opinion they are no more efficient at hunting/killing than a properly tuned compound and I would not take shots past 30 yards.. I don't care that it will shoot 3"'groups at 60..I can't wait to hunt with my compound again.

hunting with one and bench shooting one are two different worlds, it takes some getting used to, plus shooting one off-hand(hunting situations) is another subject too, ive hunted with one for awhile, ive got a camX, great xbow, but yeah most folks its the easiest thing in the world to hunt with, takes a couple sits to actually have an idea how it is
