He's going to have to decide "Long Bow" (tall) light or compound...hit the weights to shoot 4 lbs. plus tax title, site, rest, etc.

Some bows "feel" lighter than others get out there and shoot some and see what you think.

This is by far the best compound bow I have ever shot.

I have Mathews and Bowtech bows
They are now my backup bows.
        But that's just my opinion.

If you have ever wanted a light weight and versatile bow try one of these guys.

Take a look at the Mathews Hyperlite. It weighs 3.45 lbs. If you're looking to pick up a light, smooth, accurate, easy to shoot used bow go find you a used DXT. I loved the one I had. I love short A2A bows and don't find them to give up anything in the way of accuracy.

When comparing brace heights don't forget to also compare the amount of deflex in the riser.
The further back the grip sits from the front of the limbs will also make the bow more critical to shoot.
