    Camo pattern for south Texas....

I searched, but did not find a thread on it(maybe not enough coffee).

I hope to be hunting LaSalle county in a couple weeks. What is a good camo pattern for that area? Has anyone used sticks=n-limbs down there?

I would think an open pattern would work... Ideas / suggestions...

    thanx folks,

I like and wear both the Brush Country and Game Guard but at times I think that the Game Guard has a little too much tan in it. I have actually worn the seclusion 3D and really think that it is just as good if not better.

I've used lots of camp in SoTex, but IMO there's nothing better than Fall Gray Predator. I've been a fan for years.

I know Predator is a site sponsor, but let me also say that I sought them for a reason!

I will be hunting from a tripod as well as pop up.

With several freezes, everything has turned brown & lost most of the leaves. Never count out Mossy Oak. Bushlan or Brush Country would be my choice from the tripod.

X2 or mossy oak brush works well in certain cituations

Anything with plenty of grey in it. I have an old faded pair of grey cotton work pants that serve well to blend in anywhere in S. Texas once things brown up and die off. I think what pattern you wear is not nearly as important as how much you move. I rattled in 6 different bucks last week anywhere from 30-60 yards wearing blue jeans and a dark green t-shirt. Good Luck!

I am pretty good about being still. I would still like something that halfway blended in with the background.
