Switched over to the Spot Hogg Wiseguy when it came out this year. I love the release itself. It really is awesome. Best I've ever used. The wrist strap is velcro and I don't like that part.

I don't know what brand I was using I bought it years ago and theres not a name on it. I went with a Scott little goose. Seems to be better then the one I had.
