    Another Hate a Thief thread...

Woke up this morning to a text message from my son , who leaves for school before I leave for work.. that our nextdoor neighbor's Tahoe was up on blocks in his driveway.
Knowing my neighbor has zero technical ability to do anything mechanical, i knew immediately he'd been ripped off of his 32-33" inch high dollar rims.
got up , went out and sure enough, the thieves stole the paver stones from another neighbors front flower garden and that's what the truck now sits on.
They must have had a wheel lock key because the wheel locks don't look damaged.

This guy is a hard working , three job having guy that works for everything he has, and does it the right way.. and I had to wake him up to tell him the bad news...
    I hate a freakin' thief.

    that sucks...

what sucks even more is you cant steak out waiting for them to do it again, and catch them in the act. turns out you can get in trouble for that.

thats even stupider... I think if we were aloud to do that and more did it would cut down on this type of crap quite a bit.

Why would you get in trouble?

I dont know the laws, but a leo told me its like entrapment or something and you will likely go to jail for premeditated something or other.

Maybe a LEO can chime in.

This just sucks. Scum are too darn lazy to work for things they want.

Catch them in the act at night, tire tools can appear like a handgun, or can even be a weapon. Sure is easy to see where one might fear for his life in that situation in my book. Look up the law on using deadly force, it is not as tough to meet the elements to justify its use as many think.

Wow....they were able to put that car up on bricks and take off all the tires without being seen or heard? WOW!

It's been a good year for crooks. It's been a couple of years since I had my truck broken in to, but every time I park it in a parking lot and come out to see it sitting just how I left it, I give a little sigh of relief.

...most thieves that aren't caught ...are able to do all that.

That really sucks, our yard has been hit six or seven times this year. They typically get wire, but once we caught them trying to steal our forklift, he got half way across the yard before he notice the night watchman was chasing after him and bailed off the equipment with it still in gear and disappeared into the night. The fork lift crashed into a fence. I hate thieves!
