416 Rigby "the ideal lion medicine"

600 Nitro Express -After she gets you the double rifle you can then get her the 600 pistol and share the ammo. Gives you both a reason to go test them in Africa

Look at a 7mm WSM. I love mine. Check out the ballistics.

Use .280 Remington with Hornady Light Mag ammo and have the equal of a 7mm Mag. I shoot the Light Mag with 139 gr BT moly at 3175 out of a 24" Krieger match barrel in .280 Remington. Been shooting moly for about 10 years with excellent results.

257 Ferguson “Hot Tamale” is legendary among .257 aficionados, and with good reason. With muzzle velocity of 4,000 fps, there is nothing to compare with it.

Add the precise quality of James Ferguson’s custom rifles that will typically shoot groups of ¼ – to 3/8–inch at 100 yards and you have the best combination of speed and accuracy that money can buy.

Out of those calibers, I'd pick the 270 WSM...but I agree with a few of the others, I love my 257 Wby. Mag.

If you don't have a safe, then you should be buying one instead of a new gun.

If you have a safe, then I'll go with something in the mid-range. 25-06, 7mm-08, 260Rem, 6.5x55. Any of those would be great.
