    I said jeep, because for the distance it is from the camera, the "eyes" would have to be several feet apart. it is well past that tree. look again

          THIS!!! This IS the answer! The non-serious guesses are pretty entertaining.

          It's similar to a lens flare artifact in a photo that's taken in the direction of a strong light source (i.e. sun). The 'mystery' object is just, as others have said, a reflection, or double image, of the coon's bright eyes and face that is on the cornpile looking back over his shoulder at the camera.

              Don't want to steal the thread, but humans and pigs reflect light from their eyes, just not as much as more nocturnal animals. (Check out some old Christmas pictures where everybody has red eye from the flas) Has to do with the retina and is the reason our night vision isn't up to par with a whitetail or a raccoon. Same goes for pigs, they don't have the best vision, but they make up for with that snout. On the subject at hand, I think its a cow.
