    meat mixer ?

Been slowly getting items to process deer what is advantage of mixer that can't be done in bin by hand and do you mix meat before or after grind

Seems to mix the seasoning better (easier) to me. It also saves the hands from freezing while mixing.

I mix 40# at a time in a meat lug. Also, I grind first, mix the seasoning in some water, add to meat, then mix. Some on here season the meat then grind. To each his own I guess.

I want an automatic mixer but just can't justify the cost.

I always mix by hand before I grind . I think it takes the seasoning better cause it gets ground in to the meat .

X3, I usualy do my n mixing while the meat is semi frozen and my hands about freeze off, so I like the meat mixer. If I'm only doing about twenty pounds or less, I'll do it by hand, but not larger amounts.
