    A/C Drain

OK, my ac drain goes thru the wall into the bathroom and drains into the sink drain. The AC drain line was clogged and I could not get anything thru it so I blew some air down the line. Since I have done this though, when the heat runs in the house the bathroom drain gurgles Loudly. What the Heck could be causing this??? I am baffled by this.
Thanks I hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

dont know but in the future you should use bleach to keep the lines clear

pour some water into the line - you blew the water out of the trap - the bleach thing works very well - about a cap full once a month

Yep blew the water out of the p trap. This time of year the ac doesnt run long enough to make alot of water, might take a couple days to refill, run water in sink or install a p trap at the coil and service T fill with water good to go.

When you blew the air down the line, where did you blow it from? From the line on the unit to the sink drain?

If so, add some bleach in the line. A good reminder is to do this every time you change your filter. Maybe 1/4 of a cup will do the trick.

What's happening is the drain line is collecting algae inside it from the water condensate it's draining.

Problem solved.... Many thanks to all of you that answered. No more gurgling and I should have the algae taken care of. Again many thanks.

Yep good thing you heard the gurgling. I have run into a lot of new units lately that will not drain at all without a trap. The negative air pressure from the blower basically puts a suction against the drain not letting the water escape. You might have had a mess on your hands if you hadn't noticed it. Glad ya got it fixed!
