    ccie bootcamp

Anyone here certified in ccie or has anyone been to a CCIE bootcamp?

What is a good place in texas to get certified and what is the average cost? I am thinking 10K looks about right.

What should I study or know if I do decide to go to one of these?

No advice, but good luck. Ccie is a worthy achievement.
People spend many months studying and preparing for the
    labs and tests.

You would first need to get a CCNA, then a CCNP, then take the CCIE Written, then you can sit for the CCIE Lab.

If you are new to the industry, I would recommend taking a Network+ course and pass that exam. The CCIE Lab is about 100,000 times more difficult than the Network + and takes years of experience to pass.

              Just my 2 cents.

^^^ What he said... Yes, CCIE's make darn good money but there is a road to get there and its not as easy as just going to take the exams and labs.

This is good advice, especially since you do not have any experience in the field. Back in the day people used to study for their MCSE, pass it and get a good job without experience. Now days, most companies will want experience to go with the certification. CCNA is the place to start and there are some excellent books out there you can use as a study guide.

Also remember, the IT field is constantly changing so even after certification keeping up with new tech is a must.

Assuming you have these? How much did the test cost to take?

I have been told that the CCIE Test are around 10k. But not everyone qualifies to take it.
