    PlotWatcher

Just wondering if any one has a PlotWatcher? Just curious about the pros & cons of it. I would like to hear a few things about it, I am considering trying one out...

I've been using one this season and have realy enjoyed mine. It is great to set up on a large plot or about 100 yards off of a feeder to see which trails deer are coming in on. Of course they don't work at night, and the batteries only last about 5 or 6 days. Also a buck has to be fairly close,(within 50 yards) to tell much about him. I have gotten some cool videos this year. Lately I have been using mine on some of my duck holes to see if any birds are coming in. I'm looking forward to next years model which I hope will have better battery life.

Gives me a SICK feeling in my gut...

Was checking my cameras before this weekends rifle hunt and came across these picture of a buck I shot with my bow from opening day of bow season this year. He has lost alot of weight and has a terrible wound from the rage three blade flying off my DXT from 19 yards. People tell me some times you make bad shots but it sure makes me feel like dudue...do you all think he will make it through the year... I hunted him hard all weekend sat for 6 hours friday, 9 hours saturday, 5 hours sunday...

Yes he'll probably make since he's made it this long. He maybe a little messed up on the horns next year though. That is a terrible hole to not have killed him but they are very resilient.

I second what EastTx said to the T. If you are wanting to see all daylight activity on a opening of any sort the camera works great. It tells you where they come in and where they leave. The pics. from a distance will be blurry once you zoom. I bought it because I have noticed many deer come into my feeder that my trail cam didn't trigger on and the plot watcher will catch them. I think it does well at what it is designed to do. I am glad I got it and if I see sign that the 180 + free range deer I have been chasing is still alive I will probably get 1 or 2 more to see where he is moving next year early season.
