Unless you are carrying OWB, you don't need anything extremely heavy. Just a simply heavy duty belt from Sears or JC Penny will work just fine. The Beltman makes some very nice belts but you can't "ratchet" them (i.e., pull it over backwards to tighten it) so I always felt like the belt was too loose on my hip. For IWB carry it really doesn't make that much of difference. Just a slightly stiff and wide belt with heavier leather will be just fine.

But, if you decide you must have a HEAVY duty belt, then the Beltman is the way to go. But, be warned, he will NOT warranty the belt if you ratchet it.

I like the beltman even when I carry a light PM9 in my pocket.

I've also used the 5.11 Tactical belts from LA Police Gear. They are single layer leather with a plastic insert. They work really well http://www.lapolicegear.com/511-tact...ther-belt.html $34.99

Have also heard good things about the Double Duty Belts from Cabelas. They're on sale right now $23.00 http://www.cabelas.com/mens-belts-su...uty-belt.shtml

            Good Luck!

I have used a Wilderness tactical belt for the last two years. I love it! It is very comfortable and durable. Great price too!

Get a five stitch from The Wilderness. The buckle adjusts across the range of the belt allowing you to get it just right as you wear different pants and holsters. IMO there is no finer carry belt.

Watch out for knockoffs - they don't measure up to The Wilderness.
