    I wouldn't suggest hunting at all while taking it , but it is the only thing that is good at stopping a cough. But no doubt, if your taking it stay at camp or home.

      Yes it does work.I was diagnosed with COPD from 30 yrs of cigarette smoking,and now have a constant rattle/cough.I use my cough silencer every sit.I got video on my Facebook showin deer just 2 foot from my groundblind,I coughed and the deer paid no attention to me.

          Thanks for all the comments. It will be used for gun hunting and I got the prescription hydrocodone cough medicine. I only take it at nite not during the day. I also always carry a cough drop in pocket for whe the urge starts. I'll be getting one.

                I must have bought the wrong one, I have had better luck just sticking my mouth under my shirt/jacket and coughing.

                  That's a good question. Is there more than one brand?

                  Again, I think these work really good for those light throat coughs. But when you have a deep chest cough they just don't do that much.
