    Q: Matthews LX

So I have a Matthews LX 26" 50# draw and my wife is having a hard time drawing it back still. I want to back the limbs down but how much is too much. I have a 1/8" of thread showing between the riser and the limb base but I dont want the limb to fly off. NOT GOOD!!!! Anyone know how long are those bolts and how far can I bring them out?

This is straight from the Mathews manual for that year model bows.

One full turn on a limb bolt will change draw
weight two to three pounds. Be sure to never
exceed more than five full turns out on each limb
bolt from max poundage when shooting the bow.
When pressing the bow, Mathews recommends
turning the limb bolts out 7 turns. Loosen the
      setscrews when adjusting limbs.

            5 for shooting

7 to prevent stressing the riser during pressing
