    Email reply problem

For the past week I continually get this "undeliverable" email returned to me if I'm attempting to reply to email. It only happens when replying. Any help would be appreciated.

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

    Subject: RE: ******************
    Sent: 12/9/2010 8:14 AM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

    'Recipient's name' on 12/9/2010 8:14 AM
553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)

Anyone? I don't have a problem with this on my phone so I'm assuming it is localized to my PC and not through the email server.

Don't think your computer would be returning undeliverable email notices. Have you checked to make sure the email address you have under the recipients name is exactly the same as the one on your phone? That maybe there is a mistype or comma where a period should be. Also try typing in the email address instead of using the autofill feature from your address book.

That is a authentication error message from the SMTP server. This is the component between your email system and the destination email system. Most likely something you don't even know exists.

Basically, have you changed your username / password on your email lately?

It is telling you the password (or username / email address) is not the same as it expects for you. As a result, it is not going to send the message because it doesn't trust you are authorized.

No I haven't changed anything. I'll try getting the address from my contacts instead of letting it autofill but this has never been a problem. I'll double check my email addresses and passwords also.

Edit: when choosing from my contacts it still returns undeliverable. I'll probably have to call my hosting service.

All of that computer talk makes me dizzy, good luck figuring it out.

I agree with you contacting the hosting service. I may be they have changed some settings recently and now require authentication.

              Good luck!

I would call your hosting provider, they should be able to work it out quickly. Its most likely a setting in outlook or equivalent.

What email client are you using and what version is it? Whats your ISP?

Spam blockers need to trace the carriers.
