    Circumference Scoring Question...

How will this extra tine between G2 and G3 affect the circumference scoring of this deer? Will he get a 3rd and 4th circumference measurement on either side of the extra tine or will the extra tine be treated as a non-typical tine as its unmatched on the other side and result in only one circumference measurement?

Measure as you would without the tine there. H4 measurement will be between the G3 and G4.

This. You'll get H3 on either side f non-typical point which ever is smallest and then go bewteen regular G3 and G4 to get H4 measurement

And don't forget on the circumference measurement you must take the smallest point between the two points.

Thanks for the scoring help. This is our best 2.5 year old that's going to be put in with some does this year before being released out on the ranch next year. I'm trying to 'create' a score because he actually looks like this now and we have found what he's broken off.

            G3 is 10 7/8
            G4 is 8 7/8
            H3 is 5 1/8
            H4 is 4 2/8

Beam is 15 2/8 as shown (plus maybe another 9 or 10")

how did you measure the H3 measurement with what you have? The H4 measurement would be between that G3 & G4 that you have on the broken part that you have

I was only able to measure around the side that I found and do a pretty good job of an educated guess. There was enough in tact to do so. It may actually get decrease if the opposite side of 'extra' point is smaller as the guys said above.
