Help Me Understand the Various Z7 Models

I am considering getting a Matthews Z7. I realize that in 2010 they released just the plain jane Z7, which was very popular. This year, I see they released the eZ7, the Z7 Extreme and some other model, which I don't remember.

Tell me if I am right about the following:

    1. The eZ7 is maybe not as fast as another Z7 model but it is made to have a super-smooth draw.

    2. The Extreme Z7 is a very short ATA bow (28") and may have a little bit rougher draw, but is built to go very fast.

    3. The 2010 Z7 is still a great bow (30" ATA) and there is not a whole ton of difference between it and the newer 2011 Z7s.

Finally, I have about a 27" draw length (measured in person at Smithfield Archery). Does this give me an advantage in shooting the faster, short ATA bows? In other words, could I shoot a Z7 Extreme easier than another guy since my draw length is short? Or do I have a disadvantage on the other Z7 bows since my draw length is short?

    Thanks guys.

I shoot a 31" draw 70lb and my 2010 z7 is shootin 319 ft per sec. Im 6'3" and the 30" axle to axle is a good length, with a 27" draw you may be more comfortable with the Z7 Xtreme's 28" axle to axle lenght. The shorter bows are better for box blind hunting as well.

      Love my z7

I sure do love my plain ole' z7 from last year. Shooting 57# 27" draw and throwing beman mfx arrows weighing 421grs at 248-250fps. I am finally getting pass throughs

So then, I guess that also begs the question, if a guy has a 30" draw (or greater), then the Z7 Extreme would be hard for him to shoot comfortably and accurately, right?

I've gotta 2011 Z7, only difference is the limbs have SE5 composite, SE4 were 2010, I"m sure it's just a sticker...anyway...I've gotta buddy that choots a Z7 and is pullin 26" draw...he would have prolly prefered the Z7Extreme cause he a little shorter than me...That eZ7 looks juicy and smooth if you ask me...They all kill the same though...they are all capable of 300+fps with the right arrow...

Try em all but here's my best explanation I'll leave something out:

all now have redesigned cams and limbs even the z7. I've seen them and they are slightly different. Meant to add a few fps and bit smoother. I'm gonna stack em up by ATA

                Shortest 28" ATA
z7 Extreme is the z7 with a shorter riser ata on this bow is 28".

                Short 30"ata

z7 is still in the line up
z9 has the same riser but a different set of cams for the dudes with monkey arms (long draw)

                Longer 32"ATA
ez7 longer ata, less agressive cams. The cams are intended to increase smoothness with a slight loss in fps (bow was made to cater to the dxt/dren crowd) with a bit longer ata and smoother cams

z7 mag lower brace height, different cam design pushes this as the fastest of the z7 group. Meant for the guy a little more interested in speed

probably not total correct but my best stab at it.

I personally didn't shoot good with a DXT bow just didn't seem right
