    Cool Christmas Presents?????

I would like to know what presents you are getting your kids that are a little unusal and may be more pratical in nature.

Last night my wife told me that she had bought my 9year old daughter Claire a sewing machine. At first I thought that was crazy but after awhile I thought how cool is that. It is something that she can learn from and actually create with.

I realize all the kids want electronic stuff and TBH kids are more inclined to get hunting stuff so if you have any ideas that are different lets hear them.

It may not be an unusual gift for here, but my daughter is going to get her first bow this year for Christmas. She doesn't know yet, though. We tricked her last night into thinking the measurements we were taking were to see how big she is compared to myself and my wife. We were actually getting a frame of reference for her draw length. We're so sneaky!!!

My daughter is getting a bow and a BB gunas well as a playscape. Thank goodness she isn't into the video games and stuff. Much rather be outside. Also going to try to find a welding helment for her so I can start teaching her to weld a little. She wants to build a horseshoe coat rack with me helping her.

Not really a gift but a gift wrapping idea- Take a 2 L empty coke bottle and use a hair dryer to eha up teh label and slide it off. Cut a slot in the side no bigger than the label and stuff whatever will fit- like a shirt into the slot. Use 2" clear packing tape and reseal the slot. Slide the label back on. Wrap and give. Have fun watching the receiver figure out how the heck you got it inside. I am going to give a long-sleeve t-shirt and drop a gift card in with it. You could put a release in it

My son (8yo) is getting hunting clothes, a sling for his new rifle, targets, ammo from me. He shot his first deer this past weekend so the timing is close. Mom is getting him a wallet, some toys, and a few movies he wants.
