There is a doe at one of my setups that blows just to do it. I think it keeps other deer away so she has all of the food. I can hear her doing it when I'm at another stand 300 yards away. She does it at 3 different points on her way to the feeder. Starting at over 100 yards away. She is on my hit list for sure.

Hunted with a friend on there farm just out of Tulsa Saturday, he told me what animals to look for that he wanted shot and i went to the stand. He texted me and said " Oh yea if you see a really big doe with a scar on her right hind quarter shoot her too cause she has busted me all season. " Sure enough she came out and pegged me right off the bat.
Put her down at 150 yards with the .280

I had one of those two years ago...she'd run all the bucks out who usually bully the does by doing that around the feeder and jump in soon after to eat. She no longer frequents my feeder.

You need a decoy. Not a deer one, but like a scarecrow in your old stand. She comes in looking at where you use to be and is checking it out, then you bust her from a new sniper lair.
I've got one I call "super nanny", that has dodged me for two years. The day she goes down, I'm doing my Snoopy dance in the tree stand.

I'm with dmason....my experience has been that a mature doe is by far the toughest deer to take with a bow! If you get her then you can definitely consider her a trophy, even if there's nothing to hang on the wall!
A few days ago at our ranch in San Saba I shot a 6.5 yr old doe from a ladder stand overlooking a feeder....since the leaves had fallen off the cedar elm tree, I was kinda exposed and had to be very careful with movements, as she was "on" to me and didn't miss a thing. She busted me the first time I drew on her and bounded off into the cedars, but she came back and was keeping an eye on me the whole time. I couldn't draw again till she walked behind the feeder, which blocked her view. I was ready to shoot her at 35 yds, but she suddenly turned and came straight toward me. After waiting well over a minute at full draw she finally turned and presented a broadside shot at 22 yds, which I successfully made. So due to all the challenges involved in taking this doe, I consider her quite a trophy and one of my most satisfying bowhunting experiences!
WCB, hope you figure out just the right trick to take your nemesis!
