KC , what Boomer means is ... the greatest glass in the world is useless if your scope turrets are not repeatable AND your turrets will not return to zero and hold point of impact 100% of the time ...

here is a pic of the Leupold varmint hunters reticle

500 yd target (12" circle) at 14x power

if you know the bullet B.C. & cartridge velocity , you can figure out the yardages and hold over for the additional cross hairs with some simple math

What he is saying is that the better scopes are built better and fit and finish is precise. A good scope can have 60 minutes of adjustment and be able to go back and forth from all points and still hold a zero. You can adjust for elevation all day long and take it back to your zero mark punch bulls eyes all day long with a Knight Force, S&B, US Optics, MK 4s you can trust that these scopes will hold zero.

When I first got into shooting I started with a Tasco Super Sniper. It did all of the things listed above, except it does not have that much range in adjustments. The glass is not as clear. But is a great scope for the money. Great for what you want to do with it.

I've had 2 Kenton knobs and liked them very much. They were put on Leupold Mark 4 scopes -- which are built to handle the rigors of constant turret adjustments in my opinion. Like any custom knobs, the Kenton knobs are only as precise to your particular set-up as the information you provide them. The knobs will be calibrated to the specs you provide -- which means they will be specific to your bullet, velocity, elevation, temp, etc. Change any of these substantially and your custom knobs will not perform precisely, especially at longer distances. So be sure and have the bullet and load you like worked out before you order.
