    Peep problems

I was wanting some suggestions/ advice from the most knowledgable bowhunters out there......but since AT is down today I decided to post here. JK
I have noticed this year that I am starting to have a harder time seeing through my peep during low light conditions. I tend to hunt in either heavier timber from a tree stand or in groung blinds and it is tends to stay darker longer in the mornings or get darker quicker in the evenings. I use a fairly small peep to help with accuracy and am wondering if it would be best to goto a larger peep or are there better alternatives. I will also say that my eyes may also be starting to slip a little at age 38.

Feel free to give me your suggestions. Thanks.

It happens to all of us with age, and there is not a whole lot you can do about it. I use 1/4 peep for a couple of reasons, #1 it lets more light thru so it is easier for me to see my pins and target, #2 I use a sword site with a 1 3/4 in ring, I DO NOT center my pin in my peep, I center my site ring and have my pin on target, that is the whole reason for a site ring. I do not believe a smaller peep is more accurate

Don't know what your eye condition is but, my husband needs reading glasses. He uses a Redhawk peep and he replaces the amber lens with a lens he makes out of the lens from a cheap pair of plastic reading glasses. This gives him a 3/8 peep that works great in low light and he can see his pin clearly.

bigger peep will help, You will not see any accuracy differences out to 45 yds. You can use a kisser button that will bigger help for accuracy.

Ideally your peep should be big enough to see the edge of your whole sight (if that makes any sense)

On the centering sight ring and pin on target. I use 3/8 peep and have "bad" eyes also. No accuracy problems out to 40 yds

String Splitter Peep is the best way to go. It also will not give you the starburst affect when using your light on your sight like all of the others do.

Large peep, center sight housing/ring. Does just fine for me in low light and out to 60 yards

                          Thanks everyone.

If the Goverment would just post up it's problems here, we would have this country back on track in no time!

Surprised no one has suggested that you go get your eyes checked. You may need glasses.
